Lightbulb Change to Allegiance Skills - A Compromise =O

Here is my solution to the problem of people not wanting to have to grind out 10 million (well, more like 5 million) faction and those that have or do want to grind it out. Firstly, this compromise would require adding some kind of attribute requirement to the skills which would work similar to the following:

At rank 1 you get access to all skills, but you need 16 in the relevant attribute to use it at full potential.

It could work something like this:

Rank~~~Attribute level for full power
1 ~~~~~ 16
2 ~~~~~ 15
3 ~~~~~ 14
4 ~~~~~ 13
5 ~~~~~ 12
6 ~~~~~ 10
7 ~~~~~ 8
8 ~~~~~ 6
9 ~~~~~ 3
10 ~~~~~ 0

These skills while under the max power (ie below attribute level for full power) would go down in the same increments as current rank skills do. So for rank 1, 16 points = current rank 10 power, 15 = rank 9, 14 = rank 8, 13 = rank 7, etc.

Not only would this be a decent compromise for both grinders and more casual players or those who want to enjoy the game (yes I'm slightly biased =P), it also makes sense, why should you be able to use such devastating skills with no training in or ability with them at all? (But to keep rank 10 prestigious they get it at 0)

And what training are we currently getting with the skills ?

As for the idea itself, that depends on what attribute you want to link each of the factions skills to.

And it will probably be easier for ANET to just link the skills to the attributes, instead of attributes and title.

But its an interesting idea.

these skills dont need to be R10 to have a descent effect. 3-4 is fairly good and you just got a god damn huge buff to power leveling up the faction title.

What you refuse to understand is that people don't have to have these skills. They are for those who grind. You don't have to have these skills and you don't have to grind. You can be fine without these skills.
